Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to provide direct nursing care across multiple units in our Magnet-designated teaching hospital. You will work across medical-surgical, telemetry, intermediate care, and ED boarding environments, delivering high-quality care with flexibility and critical thinking.

The role requires an active DC RN license, 2+ years in Intermediate Care/Step-down ICU, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in DC required.
• 2+ years of Intermediate Care/Step-down ICU experience.
• Academic Medical Center experience preferred.
• BSN preferred (per qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care across units.
• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing team and interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during transitions across units.
