Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to float across ICU, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health units. You will collaborate with the clinical team to implement care plans and ensure safe patient care while supporting discharge planning.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN license in Virginia or Compact, and at least three years of acute care experience with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or a Compact license.
• Minimum of three years of acute care experience with competency in several specialty areas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and educate patients and their family members.
• Administer prescribed medications using the 5 rights, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
• Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Float throughout the facility to units within scope of practice (ICU, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, Behavioral Health).
