Job summary

Next Move Healthcare in Alton, IL is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its hospital Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care across multiple inpatient units, floating as needed based on census and patient acuity.

This role requires versatility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate has at least two years of hospital-based acute-care experience, is licensed to practice in Illinois, and is comfortable working 12-hour

Qualifications

• Must hold current Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Recent hospital-based acute-care experience required.
• Ability to float between hospital departments as needed.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care across multiple inpatient units.
• Float between hospital departments based on census, acuity, and staffing needs.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders.
• Monitor patients for changes and initiate interventions as needed.
• Communicate changes promptly to physicians and healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Follow infection-control and nursing practice standards.
• Adapt quickly to different unit workflows and care-team structures.
