Job summary
Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, IL seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our float pool. You will provide care across medical, surgical, and cardiac units with emphasis on ortho/neuro diagnoses. Requirements include RN license in Illinois, BLS, with PALS/ACLS within 1 year of hire. Weekend and holiday rotations are required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current Illinois RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire; ACLS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders; observe responses.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status; document changes.
- Coordinate with physicians and care teams; participate in discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families; address cultural and age considerations.
- Maintain accurate documentation meeting regulatory standards.
