Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool on the Night shift. This full-time position requires BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years, active IL RN license, BLS, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include coordinating care for acutely ill patients, collaborating with the care team, and applying evidence-based practice. Location includes Kishwaukee Hospital and Valley West Hospital, with benefits such as tuition reimbursement, loan

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.
• Current State of Illinois RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• ER/Pediatric ER: ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
• Pediatric ER: PALS/ TNCC within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and health team members.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Direct care and coordinate use of nursing staff or assistants.
• Document patient responses and outcomes in health records.
• Utilize evidence to guide nursing practice.
