Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire.
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• The Float RN can be assigned to two or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units.
