Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Nursing Float Pool. The RN will deliver safe patient care across units using the nursing process, ensuring privacy and comfort while coordinating with physicians about patient changes.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license.
Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

The RN delivers safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
The Float RN may be assigned to two or more units and must remain competent in all units.
Delivers direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching.
Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
