Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Flowood, MS team. The role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups, traveling to multiple sites as needed, and delivering accurate patient data entry and timely specimen handling.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of phlebotomy experience; a 3+ year background and phlebotomy certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
