Job summary

LabCorp in Slidell, LA seeks a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. The role involves venipuncture across age groups, specimen collection for various tests, data entry, and travel to additional sites. You will support multiple clinics, with a schedule that includes a Monday–Friday workweek and variable hours.

Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or GED; a phlebotomy certification or accredited training is preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training preferred or available through accredited program.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
