Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, accurate data entry, and providing excellent patient service.

You will work Monday through Friday, with hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm, and may participate in incentive pay. Required are a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training; 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned
