Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Florence AL. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across ages, data entry, processing specimens, and providing excellent patient service.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours and some Saturdays; travel to other sites is required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years phlebotomy experience; a phlebotomy certification is accepted in lieu of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years or more phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or training program from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
