Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Dothan, AL. This role involves blood collection by venipuncture, processing specimens, data entry, and travel to multiple sites as needed.

You will support patient care with a focus on accuracy, professionalism, and service, while adhering to safety and vaccination requirements. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years of phlebotomy experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• Be at least 21 years’ old.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
