Job summary

Labcorp in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform blood collections across various clinics and patient populations. You will handle specimen preparation, data entry, and maintain logs while delivering high-quality patient service.

This role requires a phlebotomy certification or equivalent training and may involve 7-on/7-off schedules with overtime as needed. Opportunity for growth within Labcorp’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from accredited agency.
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
