Job summary

Labcorp in Washington, DC is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across Washington, DC and surrounding sites. Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and providing excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or practical training, and the ability to travel to multiple sites. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• COVID-19 vaccination required as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
