Job summary

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services. A Float Phlebotomist is needed in Rockville, MD and surrounding areas, with a schedule Monday–Friday (hours vary) and Saturdays as assigned. This role offers exposure to diverse locations and patients.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, enter data accurately, and provide outstanding patient service. Requires phlebotomy certification or training and a high school diploma, with travel to additional sites expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
