Job summary

Labcorp in Laurel, MD is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, travel to multiple sites and support diverse clinics.

This role offers broad exposure, a Monday–Friday schedule with variable hours, and opportunities for growth. Must have phlebotomy training or certification and strong customer service skills; travel and a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
