Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Service Center Float Phlebotomist to support multiple PSCs across the network. You will cover PTO, absences, and new centers, gaining a broad range of experience with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Registration Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains adequate staffing levels and efficient workflow and scheduling.
• Provides training to phlebotomists to ensure competency.
• Provides data input for payroll in absence of Supervisor and Phlebotomy Leaders.
• Acts as a technical resource for difficult phlebotomy blood draws.
• Ensures rounds are completed and maintains timelines for routine and STAT blood draws.
• Communicates lab issues and recommends resolution.
• Interacts with customers including patients, site office manager, physicians and medical assistants.
• Shares on-call duties.
• Provides input for performance appraisals.
• Ensures 24/7 coverage for Inpatient Rounds.
