Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Service Center Phlebotomist to draw blood, enter patient data, and ensure high-quality service in practice-based PSCs and office locations.

You will collect specimens, prep for transport, and support daily PSC operations while traveling to other sites as needed. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree welcomed.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist and in patient service centers is preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and related services for patients of all ages.
• Validate or enter patient demographics, insurance and orders into the BILH system.
• Collect specimens via venipuncture or capillary techniques per procedures.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the BILH laboratory.
• Open, operate, and close the PSC daily; perform clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional PSCs and doctor sites when required.
• Comply with departmental policies and QA programs.
