Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Float Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant to provide venipuncture and clinical support across multiple offices in New York. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring an exceptional patient experience and collaborating with providers and the care team.

Role spans front desk and lab tasks, with a focus on compassionate service, accurate specimen handling, and strong communication. Location is FiDi NYC with coverage at Downtown and Brooklyn offices as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
• Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver customer-centric solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with typing and multiple software systems
• Experience working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (remote teams a plus)
• Ability to maintain professionalism during collection and patient interactions

Responsibilities

• Use CI-CARE framework in all patient interactions to ensure a positive in-office experience
• Provide venipuncture services across age groups
• Perform and assist with extended scope duties (EKGs/ECGs, vitals)
• Maintain specimen labeling, handling, inventory, and sterilization standards
• Respond to patient messages and assist providers with clerical tasks
• Handle front-of-house duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
• Contribute to team development and participate in huddles and problem solving
• Do opening/closing duties and maintain office appearance
• Master the technology suite (Slack, G-suite, Zoom, EMR) for daily tasks
