Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Float for full-time night shifts at Kishwaukee and Valley West Hospitals. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic patient care tasks, monitor vital signs, and assist with daily living activities while ensuring a clean, safe environment for patients.

Responsibilities include communicating changes to staff, prioritizing tasks, and supporting unit workflow under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation, or CNA, CMA, or EMT.
• CPR - Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Prioritizes unit tasks and coordinates with RN/manager as needed.
