Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Float Patient Care Technician for the Delnor Resource Team on a part-time night schedule. This role supports RN staff with basic patient care, vital sign monitoring, and daily living activities, with two 12-hour nights per week and every-other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, and nursing students or certified nursing assistants/medical assistants/EMTs, plus CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing students who completed one clinical rotation, or must be certified as a CNA/MA/EMT.
• CPR – Basic Life Support via American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN.
• Monitor vital signs and glucose, record intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Communicate changes to nursing staff and liaise with departments.
