Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic nursing care under RN supervision. You will monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and serve as a liaison across departments on a three 12-hour shift pattern with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus certification as CNA/ CMA/ EMT or nursing student with clinical experience, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Prioritizes tasks and maintains organization in a busy unit.
