Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team as a Float MA, traveling to locations within the state and/or region. The role supports a primary care physician and delivers exceptional patient care and guest experience across sites.

You will perform clinical tasks, assist with procedures, take vitals, and manage front-desk duties while adapting to different work settings. A flexible schedule and travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. Certification/registration required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per written order.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and follow patient care plans and close gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data accurately in the medical record and coordinate with labs as needed.
• Process test results and communicate with patients as directed.
• Engage in outreach to drive patient engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
