Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Float Medical Assistant to join our team across multiple locations in Florida. This role supports primary care providers and delivers high-quality patient care while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

The Float MA will cover shifts as needed, travel within the state/region, and collaborate with a diverse care team to maintain continuity of care. Strong MA training, CPR/BLS, and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review previous medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
