Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a Float role across multiple locations in Ohio. The position involves supporting a primary care physician, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring a positive patient experience across varying settings.

The candidate should have MA training, CPR/BLS certification, and be willing to travel within the state. The role offers competitive pay and benefits with opportunities to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is strongly preferred and may be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, chart requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Record relevant data in the EHR per guidelines and communicate results to patients.
• Support care team to develop and implement patient plans of care.
