CloseKnit is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to join our Rockville, MD team in a full-time, in-person capacity. The role blends clinical and administrative duties to support providers, manage patient flow, and ensure high-quality, compliant patient care.

Qualifications include 2+ years MA experience, current CCMA/CMA/RMA, and proficiency with EMR systems; travel to Germantown and Montgomery Village as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Medical Assistant experience.
• Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (EHR).
• Ability to perform venipuncture and basic lab procedures.
• Excellent patient communication and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams and procedures.
• Clinical intake: histories and vitals.
• Venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing and basic analyses.
• Manage EHR data entry and scheduling.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA/OSHA).
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations.
