Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Float Medical Assistant to join our team across various locations in New Jersey and the region. The role supports a primary care physician, handling both clinical tasks and patient reception duties to ensure a seamless patient experience.

This float position requires travel and flexibility, with responsibilities spanning patient care, room preparation, and coordination of referrals and follow-ups. The role includes competitive benefits and standard PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/check-out.
• Document data in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
• Engage in outreach to drive patient engagement and maintain supplies and equipment.
