Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to join our team across the state and region. You will work closely with primary care physicians to deliver patient care and a superior guest experience, while also fulfilling reception duties as needed.

This role requires flexibility to cover shifts at multiple sites, travel within the state or region, and seamless collaboration with diverse teams to maintain care continuity and workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred; required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked.
• Review patient information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and draw blood; coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Support care planning with the team and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, and referrals.
• Document data accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
