Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to float between clinics in Van Wert, Saint Henry and Defiance, OH. The role supports both front-desk tasks and clinical duties, collaborating with primary care physicians to deliver high-quality patient care.

The position requires versatility, travel within the state, and a flexible schedule. Minimum 1 year MA experience, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification are expected; certification/registration is preferred where required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures; work with contracted labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by Provider.
• Support care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records; process test results and communicate to patients.
• Engage patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
