Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to float between clinics in Van Wert, Saint Henry, and Defiance, OH. This full-time role supports a primary care team, working with a physician to deliver patient care and guest experiences.

The Float Medical Assistant must be flexible to cover shifts across locations, travel as needed, and adapt to various settings within the state or region. 1 year MA experience and MA certification/registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review patient medical information and update provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient plan of care and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, coordination of referrals.
