Job summary

Advocate Health's High Point Medical Center seeks a Nurse Aide I to provide patient care under RN supervision, maintaining a clean and safe environment while supporting basic clinical tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program, NC Nurse Aide Registry listing as Nurse Aide I, and BLS certification. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week and a 3-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Current listing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to support comfort, hygiene, mobility, nutrition and safety.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, feeding, toileting, transfers and positioning.
• Measure, record and report vital signs, intake/output and weights.
• Support basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection and glucose checks when competent.
• Monitor patients under close observation and ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
• Communicate observations and document per policy and care team direction.
• Assist with ROM exercises, CPR, postmortem care and delegated tasks.
• Provide patient and family education under RN supervision.
