Job summary

Advocate Health's High Point Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Admission Discharge Transition Unit. You will provide basic patient care under supervision to support safe admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, an approved Nurse Aide I program, AHA BLS, and active Nurse Aide I Registry. Shift is 3 twelve-hour nights weekly, 7:00 pm–7:30 am, with four weekend shifts in a six-week period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an approved state Aide I training program.
• Nurse Aide I Registry eligibility/registration.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and report changes to licensed staff.
• Record vital signs and document patient data accurately.
• Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment and respond to calls.
