Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Flight Test team seeks a Flight Test Aeronautical Engineer Modification (MOD) Manager in Palmdale, CA. You will oversee modification activities, coordinate with the Air Vehicle, Mission Systems, and Flight Test Engineering, and ensure safety, quality, and performance in flight-test operations.

The role requires developmental flight test experience, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technology required.
• Experience with technical teams in aerospace.
• Developmental Flight Test experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize test vehicle activities for delivery of the test article.
• Lead modification preparations and actual modification of vehicles.
• Conduct surveys of the modified vehicle to determine start conditions.
• Ensure tooling supports initial modification kit development.
• Develop modification schedules with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee configuration and operation of the modified test vehicle.
• Travel up to 25% to austere locations; overtime and weekend work may be required.
