Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics seeks a Flight Test Engineer in Palmdale, CA to join a fast-paced ADP Flight Test Engineering team. You will support laboratory, ground and flight test activities and tailor test processes for each program while assessing risks and implementing mitigations.

Travel up to 25% is expected; overtime, odd shifts, and weekend work may be required. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are prerequisites for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Experience creating Detailed Test Plans and Cards.
• Flight Test Mission Control Room (MCR) or fly aboard execution experience.
• Test Conductor or Test Director experience.
• US Citizenship with active Secret security clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Support all flight test activity including laboratory, ground and flight test.
• Customize test processes to individual programs and circumstances.
• Assess prototype aircraft operations for risk and develop mitigating procedures.
• During flight phases, assist in controlling test execution, configuration management, troubleshooting and asset scheduling.
• Travel up to 25% and be prepared for overtime, odd shifts and weekend work.
