Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking engineers to design, develop, and optimize flight software for optical inter-satellite links.

You will work across low-level drivers to high-level autonomous behaviors, targeting RTOS and bare-metal environments. You will architect fault-tolerant systems with health monitoring and autonomous recovery, and build robust validation and simulation tools, including hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments and cross-compilation toolchains.
• Proficiency in Rust, C, or C++ with memory management and concurrency knowledge.
• Python for test automation, simulation, or tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize flight software for optical inter-satellite links.
• Architect fault-tolerant, autonomous software with health monitoring and recovery.
• Build and maintain test, validation, and simulation infrastructure (HIL/SIL).
• Own the full lifecycle of embedded software delivery from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware, optics, systems, and operations teams to deploy high-speed optical links.
• Develop autonomous operational behaviors for satellite link acquisition and maintenance.
• Improve OTA update processes to safely deliver new capabilities to satellites.
