Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking a skilled software engineer to craft flight software for spacecraft and related systems. You will develop embedded C++ software across bare metal, RTOS, or Linux environments, owning design, testing, and integration stages.

You will collaborate on requirements capture, design trades, and V&V processes to ensure robust, reliable operation in mission-critical contexts. On-site work in El Segundo, CA with stock options under the company's Equity Incentive Plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in safety critical software.
• 3+ years of experience in development of spacecraft or similar safety critical software.
• Experience with development in C++, with strong understanding of language concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable flight software that determines spacecraft/satellite bus/reentry capsule operation across the mission.
• Write quality structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux based software for embedded processors in C++.
• Own all aspects of software development from design, testing, and integration.
• Scope projects including requirements capture and initial design trades for open-ended problems.
• Ensure system quality and performance through software test, verification, and validation (V&V).
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment through communication and problem solving.
