Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. in California is seeking an embedded systems engineer to design and implement drivers and calibration for space-grade RF hardware. You will work across RF front-end components and testing methodologies to ensure robust software and hardware integration.

The role involves hardware bring-up, OTA updates, and test automation as production scales toward large arrays. You will collaborate with systems engineers to ensure reliability and mission-ready code.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded C/C++ development on bare-metal or RTOS targets.
• Experience writing IC drivers from register maps/datasheets (ADC/DAC/RF).
• Experience with RF front-end control or calibration algorithms.
• Comfortable with hardware bring-up and debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
• Design for reliability: fault handling and safe recovery from faults.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded drivers for ICs from datasheets, including init sequences.
• Develop antenna calibration routines and RF front-end control software.
• Build and harden production firmware: power sequencing, fault isolation, OTA updates.
• Bring up new boards and silicon; debug at hardware/software boundaries (JTAG, scope).
• Develop automated board-level acceptance test software for manufacturing.
• Support full-array calibration automation as production scales.
• Run extended reliability testing prior to milestone demonstrations.
