Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT is seeking a Flight Inspector – Level 1 or Level 2 to join our Receiving Inspection team. This 100% onsite role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The position requires ability to perform a broad range of quality inspections and to obtain Employee Possessor status under the Safe Explosives Act. Responsibilities include independent inspection of tight-tolerance parts and assemblies, reviewing data packages, and applying GD&T per drawings and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (Level 1).
• SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience.
• Interpret drawings and specifications; GD&T understanding.
• Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks independently.
• Conduct visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies.
• Review certification and data packages from suppliers and vendors.
• Use standard measurement instruments to perform inspections.
• Work shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as required; maintain SEA eligibility.
