Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT, seeks a Flight Inspector – Level 1 or 2 for its Receiving Inspection team. The role is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off. You will perform diverse inspections on parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies, ensuring compliance and quality.

Ideal candidates have GD&T, SMI experience, and shop math skills, plus GMP/QMS familiarity. Coastal location offers stable shifts, overtime as needed, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Knowledge of working with government contractors.
• SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience
• Interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
• Excellent shop math skills and advanced trig.
• Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Must have good computer skills
• Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
• Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods, walk stairs, climb ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks.
• Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies.
• Review certifications and data packages from suppliers and vendors.
• Follow procedures and planning documentation for inspections.
• Use standard measurement instruments for inspections.
