Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Promontory, UT is seeking a Flight Inspector – Level 1 or Level 2 to join the Receiving Inspection team. This position is 100% onsite and follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The role involves performing visual, in-process and final inspections on tightly toleranced parts, reviewing certifications, and verifying data packages from suppliers, using standard measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• SMI (Standard Measuring Instruments) experience.
• Interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T and shop math.
• Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections.
• Perform certification and data package reviews from suppliers and vendors.
• Use standard measurement instruments to perform inspections.
• Work independently on a wide range of quality inspection tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
