Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Flight Inspectors at Level 2 or Level 3 to join the Receiving Inspection Team in Promontory, UT. The role focuses on frontline quality gates for flight hardware, ensuring incoming materials meet contractual and documentation requirements before production.

Qualifications include high school diploma with 2+ years (Level 2) or 4+ years (Level 3) related experience, inspection knowledge, and experience with hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of performing inspection for proper identity and dimensional conformance.
• Experience with use of scientific instrumentation and equipment.
• Experience with handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect representative samples in accordance with engineering, regulatory, and laboratory requirements.
• Verify material identification and ensure traceability during fabrication and testing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, areas, and equipment.
• Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored following engineering and planning requirements.
• Communicate any inconsistencies, deviations, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory infrastructure including sample preparation and equipment setups/breakdowns.
