Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Manager, Program Management for the Flight Management System (FMS) to lead development across multiple aircraft programs. You will drive technical, financial, and schedule performance, lead multidisciplinary teams, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure on-time deployment and successful certification.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience or a minimum of 7 years of experience with an advanced degree.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading product development programs within the aerospace industry.
• Experience managing the execution of complex software developments.
• Prior work experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing program financial performance while navigating complex program dependencies.
• Knowledge of civil certification processes and DO-178B/ARP-4754.
• Experience leading large Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Flight Management System (FMS) development program from initial development through entry into service across adopting programs, ensuring delivery against technical, financial, and schedule commitments.
• Provide overall program leadership and accountability, managing competing priorities, dependencies, and contractual requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Finance, Quality, and other functions, aligning resources and priorities to support execution.
• Establish and maintain program baselines, metrics, and financial controls, including EVM, EACs, and cost/schedule tracking.
• Identify and manage program risks, opportunities, and technical challenges with mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate customer communications, resolve escalations, and align on technical deliverables and schedules.
• Lead program planning/exit reviews, communicating performance to leadership.
• Manage contract scope, changes, and customer-directed modifications with proper change control.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, export controls, cybersecurity, and internal processes.
