Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced project manager to lead planning, execution and delivery of complex flight management computing systems. You will ensure technical excellence, schedule adherence and budget control for critical avionics solutions.

You will coordinate across product management, systems engineering, software, hardware and QA teams, ensuring DO-178C/DO-254 compliance and rigorous risk management. This hybrid role includes relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• 6+ years of project management experience in aerospace or avionics
• Proven track record leading complex software/hardware flight management projects
• Knowledge of DO-178C/DO-254 and aerospace standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks
• Strong leadership and communication skills with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Jira/MS Project and Agile/Waterfall methodologies
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Lead the lifecycle of flight management computing systems projects from concept to deployment.
• Develop and maintain project plans including scope, schedule, budget, resources and risk strategies.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams and mentor members.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and executives.
• Ensure adherence to aerospace standards and GE processes.
• Collaborate with product management, systems engineering, software and hardware teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Manage external vendor relationships and deliverables as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices.
