Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking an experienced Flight Nurse to provide high‑quality care during transport, performing assessments, triage, and treatment per Medical Director guidelines. You’ll fly in state‑of‑the‑art helicopters, prioritizing patient safety while supporting education and ongoing development.

Based in California with CBS teams across the Pac West, you will join multiple Clinical Flight Teams, maintain licensure, and contribute to safety and quality initiatives in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing within last 5 years; state/local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience: 1 year full-time required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from initial contact to handoff at the receiving facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing education and licensure documentation.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Air Methods CBS equipment and supplies; report issues.
• Attend pre-mission briefings; assist pilots with radio and navigation; follow safety standards.
• Serve as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric transports as needed.
• Participate in community engagement and training activities.
