Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an experienced flight nurse to join our Clinical Flight Team in the North Central Region. You will provide high‑quality critical care during helicopter transport, including assessment, triage, and treatment, working with CBS Medical Directors and flight crews to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last 5 years, or as required by state/local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience 1 year full-time required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care including assessment, triage, and treatment during transport.
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain licensure and certifications.
• Assist with pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings.
• Coordinate with pilots for safety and navigation.
• Serve as flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients.
• Engage in community outreach and training activities.
