Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Highland, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality critical care during helicopter transport. You will assess patients, prioritize care, and maintain thorough documentation while adhering to safety standards with the CBS Medical Director(s).

The role requires 3+ years in critical care/emergency nursing; flight experience is a plus. Candidates must be able to participate in on-call rotations and flexible schedules to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum three years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care during transport.
• Assess illness or injury to prioritize care for safe transport.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings.
• Assist pilot with radio, navigation, and observation.
• Comply with safety standards and conduct aircraft safety briefings.
