Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, seeks a Build Reliability Engineer to identify and eliminate spacecraft and product manufacturing quality issues. You will partner with design and manufacturing, drive reliability, and initiate corrective actions with engineers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; 4+ years in mechanical and avionics product manufacturing, assembly, test and inspection.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications for assembly and test procedures.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Intermediate knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design engineering and manufacturing to create flight hardware quality plans.
• Develop and validate lean test and inspection processes; ensure objective criteria and quality goals.
• Monitor product/process quality through ramp-up using quality tools.
• Conduct regular build quality reviews; identify risk reductions and design/process improvements.
• Investigate production/test/flight failures and identify root causes to improve reliability.
• Contain non-conforming product and guide inspections for quarantine and rework.
• Support shop floor with lean improvements and standard rework guides.
