Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Supply Reliability Engineer to oversee quality across raw materials, components, and special processes. You will collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to onboard, develop and enhance supplier performance for mission-critical programs.

This role focuses on implementing reliability-driven quality processes, containment actions, root-cause analysis, and lessons learned to improve product lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field; 4+ years in manufacturing or quality engineering, or 8+ years direct experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical and avionics product manufacturing, assembly, test and inspection processes.
• Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and provide technical input to assembly and test procedures.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Intermediate knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
• Working knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
• Experience performing and applying statistical analysis methodologies.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace/materials/electrical engineering; Lean quality experience; extensive quality tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Production operations, Inspection, Shipping/Receiving, and Engineering teams to develop quality signals and processes meeting program reliability goals.
• Maintain established quality processes and procedures to identify, segregate, control, and disposition nonconforming materials at internal and supplier levels.
• Lead containment actions for non-conforming products, coordinate with Build Reliability Engineers on flight risks, and perform root cause analysis at supply chain level.
• Identify opportunities for risk reduction and removal of design/process complexity to improve manufacturability with cross-functional teams.
• Track yield, inspection escapes, and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into new product introductions (NPI).
