Job summary

Hermeus seeks a Build Reliability Engineer to guide the hardware from design through manufacturing and flight operations. You will use data to improve reliability, define quality plans with design and manufacturing teams, and support NCR and MRB processes on the production floor.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, lean initiatives, and collaboration with engineering to drive improvements in manufacturing, test, and flight reliability at Hermeus in El Segundo, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering as listed.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, quality, and/or design engineering.
• Experience in a development environment and producing complex assemblies.
• Proficiency with CAD and GD&T.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, APQP and metrology.

Responsibilities

• Create quality plans for hardware with design and manufacturing teams.
• Define inspection methods to determine part conformity.
• Investigate failures to identify root causes and mitigate risk.
• Document QMS requirements and support lean initiatives.
• Own containment and NCR/MRB processes with guidance to teams.
• Develop and validate lean test and inspection processes.
