Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates preferred.
• Current EMT certification required or must obtain within one year.
• EMT-P certification preferred.
• IAMTCS Certified Flight Communicator must be obtained within one year.
• 2 years EMS/Fire/Law Enforcement/Critical Care dispatching experience preferred.
• 1 year flight coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates radios, computer systems, and equipment for MedCenter Air.
• Knows range, capabilities, and limitations of aircraft and vehicles.
• Assigns appropriate mode of transport and vehicle for each request.
• Coordinates all aspects of the mission and tracks transport units with safety as priority.
• Maintains accurate records and transport documentation.
• Confirms prescheduled transports on the day of transport.
• Manages cost-effective use of supplies and equipment.
• Submits department changes and credits promptly.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associates Degree preferred

Current EMT certification required or must obtain EMT certification within one year of hire

EMT-P certification preferred

IAMTCS Certified Flight Communicator (CFC) certification within one year

2 years EMS/Fire/Law Enforcement/Critical Care dispatching experience preferred

1 year flight coordination experience preferred
